In this cohort study of 129 adolescent and young women with a sport- or recreation-related concussion or non-head orthopedic injury who were followed up for 120 days after their injuries, the risk of having 2 or more abnormal menstrual bleeding patterns after injury was significantly higher among patients with concussion.
