Risky Behavior and Brain Injury

What happens when you come back from having been in theater for 6 months or 9 months or a year? Generally what happens when you come back from theater is as soon as these soldiers are allowed off base, there is a lot of alcohol. There is a lot of what we would consider risky behavior, but to them, they've just been in war for a year, and so drinking and driving is not risky behavior to them because they've been shot at. But for us, we would consider it risky, so there is an increase of alcohol-related incidents causing additional injuries in our returning veterans. And just the reintegration into society that interacts with the significance of these injuries.
