I remember he enlisted right after 9/11 happened, he had just graduated high school at that time. And he was very passionate about it but very shortly after he obviously got deployed right away and I was you know, I think I was 10 during his first deployment and that was tough. He was, he had always been around my whole life and then he was just kind of gone and I didn’t really know exactly how to come to grips with that. And definitely seeing my parents struggle through that as well, it was just, it was difficult to kind of grasp that as a ten year old and then he was kind of gone periodically through the rest of my teen years.
