Parkview Rehabilitation Center

The Brain Injury Program at Parkview Rehabilitation Center was specifically created to treat patients of all ages who have suffered a brain injury due to trauma or illness. Each patient and his/her family collaborate with the rehab team to create an individualized team care plan following an evaluation of the patient's condition. The Parkview Rehabilitation Center is an inpatient medical rehabilitation program located within Parkview Hospital. The program is accredited for comprehensive and brain injury by CARF. The brain injury rehab team includes 15 staff members who have received specialized certification from the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists. Members of the rehab team assess available therapies and assistive equipment on an ongoing basis and incorporate new choices into patients' treatment plans as appropriate.

Parkview Hospital is also home to a verified Level II Trauma Center, and its Parkview Stanley Wissman Stroke Center is certified through The Joint Commission. The Rehab Program provides a range of inpatient services and programs to support patients being treated at the Level II Trauma Center and the certified primary stroke center. Parkview focuses on helping patients from an illness or trauma that interferes with their ability to move, think, and care for themselves. Patients age 3 and older are accepted.
