The Model System Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC) is a national center that works to put research into practice to serve the needs of people with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries (SCI), and burn injuries. The MSKTC summarizes research, identifies health information needs and develops information resources to support the Model Systems programs in meeting the needs of individuals with TBI, SCI and burn injuries. The Model Systems are funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) to conduct innovative and high quality research, provide patient care, and offer other services to improve the health and quality of life of individuals with TBI, SCI, and burn injuries.
