Humanim has five core service areas: Mental Health, Vocational, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Developmental Disabilities and Deaf Services. Services are available to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Neuro-Rehabilitation Services provides rehabilitation for individuals with neurological impairments who may be experiencing difficulties with speech, concentration, memory, planning, judgment, social skills, physical strength, coordination and balance. Staff will also address depression, anxiety, temper outbursts and personality changes.

Humanim's Neuro-Rehabilitation Services provides a wide range of services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.  We offer rehabilitation for individuals with neurological impairments who may be experiencing difficulties with speech, concentration, memory, planning, judgment, social skills, physical strength, coordination and balance.  Staff will also address depression, anxiety, temper outbursts and personality changes.

Neuropsychological Assessment
Humanim's neuropsychological evaluation serves as an invaluable resource for cost-effective case management and treatment planning.  A full neuropsychological evaluation will typically include an analysis of the individual's medical, psychosocial, educational and vocational history, clinical observations, intelligence testing, sensory/perceptual, motor, and memory testing, language and higher-level thinking skills assessment, psychological and/or personality screening, and a comprehensive summary with treatment recommendations. An abbreviated evaluation is often used to assess symptoms of dementia in the older adult.

Mental Health Services
Humanim offers support groups, individual therapy and family therapy.  These are provided by licensed clinicians with specialized training in acquired brain injury, geriatrics, and substance abuse.  Humanim also provides medication evaluation and management.  Specialized neuropsychiatric evaluation is available.

Acute Comprehensive Rehabilitation
Humanim's acute comprehensive rehabilitation services may include speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy and cognitive rehabilitation, psychotherapy and case management.  Services can be provided on an outpatient basis, in the home or community setting, or in combination with a 24-hour supervised residential program.

Vocational Services
Humanim offers specialized career assessments and comprehensive programs that focus on job readiness, individual and group placement.  The career assessment evaluates skills, abilities, interests and work experiences to ensure a successful job match.

Day and Residential Programs
Full day and residential rehabilitation programs are available for those individuals with acquired brain injury who require more supervision and care either on a day-to-day basis or seven days a week 24 hours a day.

Training Seminars for Families and Professionals
Humanim offers a full range of training programs and seminars to ensure that everyone within the individual's support system understands their unique roles in the rehabilitation process.  The trainings educate families, friends, and caregivers about neurological impairments as well as offer strategies to improve the quality of life for everyone.
