Homelessness Programs and Resources (SAMHSA)

The Homelessness Resource Center (HRC) is a national training and resource center dedicated to building providers’ capacity to improve the lives of people who are homeless and who have mental illness, substance use problems, and trauma histories.  Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), HRC’s work includes on-site training and distance learning, technical assistance, an interactive Web 2.0 website, networking opportunities for providers, and knowledge products. http://homeless.samhsa.gov serves as HRC’s central identity and is a virtual gathering place for users to learn, share, and connect with one another. HRC original feature articles are refreshed frequently, along with a blog and news articles. HRC content is brief, engaging, and human interest-oriented to help users learn important concepts in the midst of their demanding, fast-paced workdays.
