Danbury Hospital

Danbury Hospital is a 371-bed regional medical center and university teaching hospital associated with Yale University School of Medicine, the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and the University of Vermont.  Inpatient and outpatient programs are available. The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Department of Medicine provides treatment programs. The inpatient rehabilitation is a 14-bed unit that has physicians, nurses and therapists who specialize rehabilitation after stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, hip fractures, complicated joint replacements and general debility.  The Rehabilitation Unit has six private and four semi-private rooms. The Danbury Hospital Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Centers, located in Danbury and Southbury, provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, and aquatic and medical fitness exercise programs to adults and children before and after surgery or for acute or chronic debilitating conditions.
