Effects of Family and Caregiver Psychosocial Functioning on Outcomes in Persons with Traumatic Brain Injury

In this study, researchers found that the degree of social support a caregiver receives can impact the outcome for the individual with TBI. Feelings of limited or poor social support and poor familial behavioral control were related to poor psychological well-being among people with TBI. Also, individuals who had more significant disability tended to have caregivers with poorer psychological well being.
