New York Legal Assistance Group: Veterans Project

The New York Legal Assistance Group's LegalHealth Division has clinics at two Veteran Administration hospitals in New York City, and one on Long Island. Using the medical-legal partnership model, attorneys coordinate with medical staff to identify and help veterans with issues including eviction prevention, public benefits denials, and debt collection. This initiative improves the health and well-being of veterans by addressing the pressing legal needs that endanger their health or impede their treatment and recovery.

Polytrauma - Syracuse VA Medical Center

The Polytrauma Site for VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse is one of 23 facilities in the country designed to provide long-term rehabilitative care to Veterans and Servicemembers who experienced severe injuries (including brain injuries) to more than one organ system. Urban Justice Center: Veteran Advocacy Project

The Veteran Advocacy Project provides free civil legal services to low-income veterans and their families, with a focus on those living with Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, and substance use problems. The project is partnered with VA hospitals, mental health clinics, and community groups to reach veterans where they are.
