Battle Creek VA Medical Center

The Battle Creek VA Medical Center consists of 104 medical and psychiatric beds, 32 residential rehabilitation beds, and 103 nursing home care unit beds. In addition, specialized services offered include a Palliative Care Unit, a Substance Abuse Clinic, a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Program, and a Domicilliary.

John D. Dingell VA Medical Center

The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center is one of the newest VA facilities in the country. Services are available to more than 330,000 veterans living in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and St. Clair counties. The mental health program provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being. In addition to the main facility in Detroit, they offer services in two community-based outpatient clinics: Pontiac and Yale.

Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center

The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center (OGJVAMC) is a primary and secondary level care facility with 17 acute care beds, 13 in the medical/surgical ward and 4 in the intensive care unit (ICU). The main facility provides limited emergency and acute inpatient care, and collaborates with larger VA Medical Centers in Milwaukee and Madison, WI, to provide higher-level emergency and specialty care services.  OGJVAMC also provides rehabilitation and extended care, including palliative and hospice care, in its 40-bed Community Living Center.

University of Michigan Law School: Veterans Legal Clinic

The Veterans Legal Clinic at Michigan Law School is a new clinical offering in which veterans and, in some cases, their immediate families will receive legal help in civil matters such as family law (divorce, custody, support and visitation), eviction, consumer problems, foreclosure, and employment cases. The clinic also will assist veterans with service-related matters such as discharge upgrades. Second- and third-year law students, under the supervision of faculty, will represent veterans who primarily live and work in southeast Michigan.

VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System provides state-of-the-art healthcare services to the men and women who have so proudly served our nation. Nearly 57,000 veterans living in a 15-county area of Michigan and northwest Ohio utilized the VAAAHS in 2011. The main hospital campus located in Ann Arbor operates 105 acute care beds and 40 community living center (extended care) beds. The mental health program provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional well-being. The system also serves as a referral center for specialty care.
