Iowa City VA Health Care System

Since 1952, the Iowa City VA Health Care System has been improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation. Services are available to more than 184,000 veterans living in 56 counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. In addition to the main facility in Iowa City, they offer services in six community-based outpatient clinics located in: Coralville, IA; Dubuque, IA; Galesburg, IL; Bettendorf, IA; Quincy, IL; and Waterloo, IA. Services offered include primary care, specialty care, and mental health.

VA Central Iowa Health Care System

The VA Central Iowa Health Care System (VACIHCS) operates a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) medical facility in Des Moines, with five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Mason City, Fort Dodge, Knoxville, Marshalltown and Carroll. The medical center provides acute and specialized medical and surgical services, residential outpatient treatment programs in substance abuse and post-traumatic stress and a full range of mental health and long-term care services, as well as sub-acute and restorative rehabilitation services and a domiciliary.
