Good evening,
My 22-year-old son Christon Collins is in the VA Hospital in Houston. He has had problems since the first day he came home from Germany on March 15, 2018. He is not the same young man that went into the military. He is a danger to himself and others. The VA sent him to jail the last time he was there and the charges were No Billed.
The doctor said he has an old frontal lobe brain injury that is old. My son never complained of any symptoms or problems before going into the military. He displays symptoms of frontal brain injury or even TBI with alcohol and substance abuse. Yet they are resting and have diagnosed him as Substance induced mood disorder and giving him meds for psychosis. This is wrong. Even I can see this. Help me, please.
I do not want him to harm himself or anyone else. I do not want to be the next Dedra Jefferson. My son needs help.
The military also has his records in Germany as Sensitive Records. I have been told by an advocate that that’s probably a clue as to where to start looking.
I look forward to hearing from you expeditiously to know the next step to assure the safety of all and awareness and assistances day with my son.
