Alaska Native Traumatic Brain Injury Connection

The Alaska Native Traumatic Brain Injury Connection (ANTBIC) works to increase awareness through education and training to offer the best outcomes for those with traumatic brain injury. The ANTBIC works with Alaska Native Tribal Health System’s Tribal health organizations and communities to increase awareness of traumatic brain injury (TBI), provide education and training, and identify individuals who have experienced TBI to help them find the right care. ANTBIC offers:

  • TBI Awareness & Education: ANTBIC staff and partners travel to communities across Alaska, leading presentations and attending health fairs to increase education and awareness of traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
  • TBI Screening: ANTBIC  provides TBI screening training to Community Health Aides, Behavioral Health Aides and other clinicians. This training equips them with the skills and knowledge needed to identify individuals who have experienced TBI and provide direction on referrals for proper care.
  • Events: Visit the ANTBIC  website for upcoming events.
