MeetUp - MeetUp is a social networking sites where users can find others with common interests across the country and set up meetings or organize around common ideas or interests.

digg - digg is a social news site. Popular stories and sites are promoted by "digging" (voting) for good content. If a story or page gets enough "diggs", the news story is promoted to the front page.
Mixx - Mixx allows users to vote for stories, photos, and content to promote these stories to the front page.
