Planning Ahead After a Brain Injury Is Related to Better Outcomes

In this study, people with brain injury were classified as "planners" or "avoiders." The two groups were compared on cognitive testing, a psychosocial stress test, and physiological measures. Compared to avoiders, planners had better executive function, were more psychologically and physiologically reactive, and performed better on the measure of coping behavior.
